Currently, when we want to indicate that one should take advantage of an opportunity as soon as it exists, in case that opportunity ceases to exist, we often say “strike while the iron is hot!” Doesn’t that seem a bit outdated? When was the last time you saw hot iron? Are blacksmiths still a thing?
Well, apologies to any 19th century enthusiasts, but we’re proposing a bit of a change to that phrase: “gorge while the stone fruits are ripe!” After all, there are only a few weeks of the year when they are at their best. Hence February’s BOTM, “Peachy Keen”, which in addition to our signature Coorong Angus beef patty highlights beautifully juicy South Australian peaches in a fresh and vibrant salsa (combined with capsicum, pickled red onions, and a touch of jalapeños). To balance the sweet and slightly tart (and a tiny bit spicy) salsa, the burger also has a delicious, creamy brie, and the final touch, which arguably brings it all together: thinly sliced prosciutto, its own inherent luscious sweetness working perfectly with the other ingredients. It’s available only this month at each Burger Theory location, so whatever idiom you prefer, get in while the peaches are ripe!
